Are there any medications to help cure anxiety, panic, and other emotional problems, with no danger effects?


There are sources which say Zoloft is not only a medication used to treat people with emotional problems (panic, anxiety, depression, etc..), but there are dangers to it. Is there any other recommended medication prescription that helps with curing anxiety, panic, or other issues? Just as long as this prescription has NO DANGEROUS EFFECTS???
All I am asking is there any antidepressants that don’t destroy people’s lives? Any without dangerous side effects?

Sorry, but all prescription anti-depressants have side effects. Most will cause problems requiring additional prescription medications.

  1. No, they are all dangerous.

    Manmade pills are often more dangerous than the anxiety itself, people just need love/affection someone to talk to and listen. If it were easier to be easier to find genuine loyal loving care no one would think they needed drugs.

    First they tell kids to stay off drugs, then they push drugs on them saying they “need” it. amazing eh?

  2. Well thankfully you are aware that ssri antidepressants DO destroy peoples lives, they nearly destroyed mine (but that’s a long story I wont go into here)

    Since I finally came off ssri s I have never been better or happier. I do however suffer from anxiety and stress from time to time. These days to cope with that I use a natural supplement called GABA and Rhodiola, you will find both in health stores or on the net.

    There is no “safe” pharmaceutical medication to deal with depression or stress. They all can have dreadful side effects. In my case it took me years to realise that ssri antidepressants were actually making me worse than I was in the first place, and less able to deal with stress.

    Some people also say SAMe and 5HTP (both natural serotonin boosters for depression) are very good. Hope this helps!

  3. Like another person said all antidepressants carry side effects and possible addiction. They are pretty strong psychotic drugs. You may want to consider a natural alternative that works maybe not as well but well enough without risking the side effects and other bad things. I know of a few natural brands out there: Panicyl, Vilft, and Anxiety-Eze.

    There are no drugs that don’t have dangerous side effects. These drugs were meant to affect the pituitary gland. This then affects the adrenal gland which unbalances the hormonal/glandular system. Thus, depending how a person’s body trys and balance this in their system is what side effects you will get. Also, you glands can get so tired that they start creating anxiety (adrenals putting out too much cortisol) and making it hard to sleep.

    Now for depression – use Omega 3 Fish Oil – it is an essential fatty acid. Get a pharmaceutical grade and take the recommended dosage. If after three days you don’t have a postive change, up it a bit. (it takes three days for the body to adjust).

    Anxiety – tart cherry – you can find it on line or in the health food store, will come in capsules. Just make sure that it is “flash pasteurized” or the goodness will be cooked out of it. Just take 1 every four hours if needed you can up it. Its a food product, no side effects.

    I wouldn’t do the herb route as herbs force the body to do something it already wouldn’t do. Give your body the things it needs to function properly and things will improve dramatically.

  7. Often emotional problems have a root cause in nutritional deficiences. For example, 90-95% of us are deficient in magnesium, which is an essential co-factor for calcium. Some effects that can manifest themselves as a result of even mild deficiencies in magnesium incude sensitiveness to noise, nervousness, irritability, mental depression, confusion, twitching, trembling, apprehension, insomnia, muscle weakness and cramps in the toes, feet, legs, or fingers.

  8. I have had depression and was told I am bi-polar some years ago. I got into meditation and have a successful happy healthy life. I take no medication!
