What Causes Relaxation

Anxiety attacks, panic attacks and anxiety disorder all set traps for its victims. The reason for this is anxiety and even simple nervousness, is brought on by the flight or fight syndrome and they bring with them feelings that are disturbing enough to cause people to try to escape from them. Escaping from anything means fighting with it or running away from it. In other words, fight Causes Relaxationor flight. As you can see, this is counterproductive because anxiety intensifies as we try to fight it or run away from it.

Everyone experiences nervousness to some degree and most people experience anxiety of some type. However, if we try to flee from the feelings this anxiety brings to us we only help its fires to burn hotter. By the same token, the more we wrestle with it in an attempt to make it subside the more we also intensify the feelings anxiety brings on. Therefore, recognizing nervousness and anxiety and then trying to avoid them is a prescription for more anxiety and more nervousness.

Many people find help by simply doing their best to ignore any symptom brought on by anxiety or nervousness and concentrating on the feelings which are brought on by relaxation. For this reason, it is very helpful to use simple relaxation techniques periodically. Then when you get yourself to the point where you are engulfed in relaxation, you will have experienced relaxation and can recall the feelings this relaxation has brought to you anytime you wish.

By doing this you no longer are fighting with anxiety. Thus, you will not be causing it to intensify. Instead, you will be using the positive reinforcement of relaxation to stop the cycle that intensifies nervousness.

To bring yourself into a state of relaxation you can simply use any of the common relaxation techniques that are available. Some of these techniques actually use self hypnosis. However, many people find that lying down and listening to soothing music will help do the trick. Also, progressive relaxation is the preferred choice of many.

With progressive relaxation one simply lies down, closes his eyes and instructs each body part to relax. Normally this is done starting with the feet and going right up to the facial and scalp muscles. It is important when carrying out this technique that you feel your muscles loosening up in every part of your body.

With any relaxation technique it is helpful to start by taking two or three deep breaths. This is done by breathing slowly in through the nose and even more slowly out through the mouth. Deep breathing is always helpful for anyone chasing relaxation.

The bottom line is, the normal person faces many obstacles to relaxation during the day. However, by practicing relaxation on the off-hours or prior to sleep at night, an anxiety suffer can experience true relaxation and will then have something to build on during anxious moments throughout the day.

Anxiety Attacks Treatment

There are many anxiety attacks treatments. In any given case, one course of action may work far better

than another while another type of anxiety may require a different course of action. In this article, we will discuss several common anxiety attack treatments and basically summarize how each works.

The following are some treatments commonly prescribed to help overcome anxiety attacks:

  • Cognitive behavior therapy
  • Exposure therapy
  • Medication
  • Education and acceptance

With cognitive behavior therapy you are taught how to focus your thoughts and get right down to the bottom of them. You are led to the root cause of why you are thinking the way you are. Then you can see how some of the things that have been causing your problems are actually irrational. In other words, cognitive behavior therapy teaches you how to find out where your thought patterns have gone astray. Then, once you have exposed the folly of the beliefs that brought you to the point of anxiety disorder, you can free yourself of the disorder.

Exposure therapy helps you to confront whatever it is you are afraid of in a safe environment. Exposure therapy is often used for people suffering from agoraphobia. When people are suffering from agoraphobia they are afraid to leave their home. With exposure therapy they are brought away from home with one trained professional and possibly several of their friends. Little by little they are led further into the world and eventually without the support of the complete entourage helping them to leave their houses. Of course, this is a bit of an oversimplification but it is basically what exposure therapy is all about.

There are several different types of medications a medical professional can prescribe to someone suffering from anxiety disorder. Of course, the medication and the amount of the medication is determined by several factors such as:

  • The type of anxiety disorder
  • Whether or not panic attacks accompany the anxiety disorder
  • How long the sufferer has had the condition
  • The severity of the condition and/or the frequency of the panic attacks

Many times the medication is prescribed temporarily. However, sometimes the medication may be administered for many years.

Education and acceptance simply teaches the sufferer what is behind the anxiety or panic attacks biologically. In other words, when the sufferer realizes that the panic attacks are more of a chemical reaction then a true mental condition, the anxiety level will often drop immediately. Also, it is true that often anxiety disorders can be like other common ailments and simply need to run their course.

When the sufferer learns not to intervene and simply live with the condition while it burns itself out, it will often leave without any particular steps being taken.

No matter which anxiety attack treatment you choose, make sure you see your doctor first and check all your options and by all means, make sure he or she tells you it truly is anxiety you are dealing with and not anything else.

Avoid Panic Attack

Panic and anxiety attacks really are not in any way uncommon today. Panic generally seems to emerge from nowhere then control the panic and anxiety attack sufferer’s life. When sessions of panic are occurring they are the only thing that matters for that sufferer. It seems to become progressively worse for several minute. Eventually, at some time the panic goes away, at least for a while.

The most important thing to know about panic or any sort of anxiety attack is that it may be the struggle you put up which makes it powerful. Having a chance to be flexible will lessen the harshness of panic and will actually put an end to it altogether.

The simple reason behind this is the undeniable fact that tightening up your system encourages adrenaline flow inside the bloodstream. It really is adrenaline flow that produces you nervous to begin with in fact it is increased adrenaline flow which brings nervousness in to the arena of anxiety and in addition brings anxiety into the realm of panic.

Once you tense up you are doing the very thing that panic endures. If, conversely, you’re to take it easy every one of the muscle groups within your body, panic would not develop. For this reason it is important to consider the attitude you won’t fight against the panic and anxiety attack when it appears to be approaching.

Sometimes instead of bracing themselves against panic, panic sufferers will endeavour to mentally try to escape from it instead. Simply attempting to pretend panic just isn’t coming your way is really a type of running away. Realizing panic is approaching and analyzing it’s a extremely effective method of stopping panic before it gets started. It sounds ironic however, if an oncoming panic attack brings fear of any kind to your life it features a tendency to develop. However, once you address it and accept panic, it will dwindle away.

One other way we could think of this analysis is much like this: When a panic attack is classified as being approaching, the panic sufferer tightens up so as to brace him/herself for the brutal session going to happen. If this shrinking and bracing could possibly be eliminated, the panic could possibly be as well. This is true because without securing, nervous symptoms can’t be overwhelming like they could be to a tightened up, fully braced person.

Realistically, it is very important to realize fighting off panic is what actually can make it think about it. It is difficult initially to get used to not wanting to combat something that feels like it’s harming you. However once you develop the knack for doing that you will find the panic becomes much less until you’re actually controlling it instead of allowing it to control you.

Nervous Symptoms

One of the most prevalent nervous symptoms is panic attacks. Panic attacks occur because nervousness has

I feel nervous

built to the point that the amount of adrenaline it has caused to run throughout the body has become maxed out. Is very common for a nervous person to suffer panic attacks and what is even more confounding is it is common for a person who is not seen as a nervous person to also suffer panic attacks.

Panic attacks stem from a condition known as anxiety disorder. Though this is a very daunting term it is important to understand that it is usually not a permanent condition. There are ways to overcome anxiety disorder and thus do away with the panic attacks that accompany this disorder. Anyone who suffers panic attacks is said to have an anxiety disorder however, not everyone who suffers an anxiety disorder will have panic attacks.

Either way, the road to recovery involves seeing a doctor about the symptoms the anxiety is causing. The reason this is important is a doctor can tell you whether any these symptoms lead to any physical ailments or they are all just a part of your anxiety disorder.

For instance, many people who suffer anxiety whether panic is accompanying the anxiety or not, will complain of tightness in the chest. Whenever anyone suffers tightness in the chest he or she should see a doctor very quickly so the doctor can tell him whether there is some problem with the heart or it the tightness is a symptom of some anxiety he or she has been suffering.

Once the anxiety sufferer has a clean bill of physical health, he or she can go about the business of overcoming the anxiety disorder or any of the other nervous symptoms that he or she may be experiencing.

There are many things that can help a person overcome anxiety disorder. Some of these are natural methods and most people prefer to try such methods first before they are put on a subscription that helps and anxiety sufferer live with anxiety disorder.

One such natural method that has helped many people overcome panic attacks and anxiety disorder in general is simply learning what causes anxiety and what is going on in the body when anxiety is occurring. It is also very helpful to many people when they understand just how common anxiety disorders are in that they are not alone when they are experiencing anxiety. Support groups are very helpful for this.

Still, the most important thing that leads to recovery of panic attacks and anxiety is knowing that physical disturbances that are felt during bouts of anxiety are just a manifestation of adrenaline and not true physical ailments, such as heart disease or hypertension. It is very important to note that only a doctor can tell you this for sure.

Anxiety Causes

Anxiety causes are vast and numerous.  More so even than the amounts of anxieties that plague our society today.  To name a few different types of anxieties, there are:

  • Social anxiety
  • Test anxiety
  • Separation anxiety
  • Panic anxiety
  • Performance anxiety
  • and many subtle types of anxiety that fall into the category of “Anxiety Disorder.”

Anxiety, in itself is very common and though it is wise to control it, anxiety really doesn’t amount to much until it crosses over into the realm we term anxiety disorder.  Anxiety disorder is anxiety in doses that tend to control the lives of those who are inflicted by it.  In fact, the main difference between ordinary anxiety and anxiety disorder isPanic Attack whether or not it actually controls what the sufferer does.

For instance, does he cancel appointments because of anxiety?  Does the sufferer change or cancel travel plans?  Does he call in sick often because of his inability to to face the drive to work or his apprehension to talk a client or face the boss?  These things may frazzle the nerves of a sufferer of ordinary anxiety, but they will entirely overwhelm the sufferer of anxiety disorder.

Another symptom of anxiety disorder is panic.  Mot all, but most sufferers of anxiety disorder also have frequent, or at least occasional panic attacks and this is for a good reason.  Anxiety disorder and panic attacks are born of the fight or flight syndrome.  In other words, the more one tries to run away from, or fight off anxiety, the deeper and more overwhelming the anxiety will be.

One who has he ability to totally accept his anxiety will never suffer a panic attack because when fear is absent from anxiety, this anxiety will be unable to build into panic.  It is when the sufferer tries to escape the weird and horrific feelings anxiety brings on that anxiety receives the fuel it needs to build into strong anxiety disorder and panic.  Yes, fear is panic’s fuel, without it panic wanes.

Learning how to control fear while under the duress of anxiety is something that needs to be learned but it is a very learn-able trick as many have been cured from anxiety disorder and panic attacks.

Psychotic Anxiety

Psychotic anxiety is definitely a condition that requires professional attention.  A small blog article would be of little help to anyone who has been diagnosed with this rare illness.  In part, this is because medication is required to make headway toward the cure of  psychotic anxiety.  Also, it takes a professional trained in dealing with it to determine how much progress is being made toward its end cure.

Another complicating factor is whether the anxiety is seen as an acute psychosis or one without an abnormal amount of complications.  Obviously, the answer to this question would not be found over the Internet.

However, one place where an article can be helpful in such a matter is to inform those who have yet to be diagnosed, psychotic anxiety is not a widespread condition.  More helpful information is the fact that everyone suffering ordinaryoverwhelmedanxiety disorder believes he or she has some sort of psychosis, at least in the beginning.  This is a normal response to a nervous illness that while not serious can be very, very frightening!

Still, anxiety disorder, with or without panic attack, though scary, is most often a far cry from any type of psychosis.  Anxiety panic disorder has become very common in today’s world.  Because of pressures that have become built in to the modern lifestyle and due to I believe,  the widespread use of recreational drugs such as marijuana, many people’s lives become bogged down with anxiety disorder and panic attack.  However, with the right approach and the right counseling this condition can be short lived.  Fortunately, this is often the case.

With most cases of anxiety disorder and panic attack disorder it takes a lot of resolve on the sufferer’s part and the right information to get this nervous illness on its way to being neutralized.  Though it may take several weeks or maybe even months, anxiety disorder and panic attacks are commonly defeated.  These conditions have no psychosis associated with them and are not acute conditions.

Anxiety Signs and Symptoms

Anxiety signs and symptoms are not really apparent to anyone but the most trained people in the Field of anxiety disorders.  This means, usually when someone is suffering from anxiety disorder, no one but the sufferer can tell.  The signs of a nervous person are very apparent.  However, being able to distinguish between a person who is suffering true285/365 New Glasses Girl anxiety and one who is simply nervous is not easily done.

The anxiety sufferer knows it is true anxiety when she cancels appointments and avoids certain person, places and things because of fear her anxiety will cause her to somehow make a fool of herself or in many cases she fears her anxiety will make her feel she will have an attack of some kind that will cause her to need to be “taken away.”  Such things are not in the mind of one who is simply nervous.

Most often, when a person is experiencing true anxiety, panic enters into the fray.  Sometimes, this panic or panic attack is said to be paranoia.  While this term does not exactly describe what panic attack due to anxiety actually is, it is a term often used.

Panic is the result of anxiety that builds and builds and builds.  This is normal for those experiencing anxiety but not for folks who are simply nervous.  The panic starts to develop when the sufferer becomes afraid of the funny and often very scary feelings anxiety brings on.  Many times these scary feelings make the sufferer wonder if he or she is having a heart attack or stroke.

Of course, such feelings should be brought to the attention of a medical professional quickly.  However, even after the patient has been cleared of these medical conditions, his or her continued fear of them only brings more anxiety into his or her life and this added fear on top of of the existing  anxious condition eventually can lead to panic attacks.

Panic Disorder with Agoraphobia

Panic disorder with agoraphobia is a fairly common type of anxiety disorder.  Normally, the anxious person starts by developing a relatively mild anxiety disorder.  Next, anxiety’s fears work their way into the sufferer’s life far enough that he starts to experience panic attacks.

Panic attacks usually come out of nowhere and are totally unexpected.  This is especially true of the first few attacks.  After that, their horror brings the sufferer to the point where he is always on the lookout for them.  He is always anticipating when the next one will occur and where he will be when it occurs.  It is being on the lookout for panic attacks that often creates them.  If the sufferer didn’t fear them he woulodn’t be looking out for them.  Being fearful welcomes panic.

Naturally, because of his great fear of these panic attacks, he will avoid doing things he believes causes their comingSeattle and he avoids places he feels will bring them on.  Of course, there is no sense in doing these things but a panic attack sufferer is so intent upon avoiding panic attacks, he will do anything to stave them off; even if the things he is doing to try to stave them off are illogical or even unadvised.

Agoraphobia is an anxiety driven illness where the sufferer avoids going to certain places because he fears this place will bring on a panic attack.  When let to go on indefinitely, the agoraphobia sufferer will never leave his home because eventually he will fear visiting anywhere because of the possibility all places outside his home will bring on a panic attack.

This is a common progression for agoraphobia.  In technical terms, agoraphobia means “fear of the marketplace.”  However, agoraphobia describes a condition where a person tries to beat panic by avoiding certain places.

To unwind the progression that leads to agoraphobia, the patient must learn it is trying to avoid panic that is making his life so unbearable.  So, it follows the key to the curing the panic attacks is to take a few panic attacks right on the chin, so to speak.  In fact, the sufferer should let the panic come to him without trying to dodge it.

After that, he can actually go to places he feels will bring on a panic attack.  By doing this he will be chasing after panic and as he does, he will actually be chasing panic away!

Panic Attack Anxiety Symptoms

Panic attack anxiety symptoms usually include symptoms of whatever it is the sufferer fears most!  If his or her fear is a heart attack, he/she will feel 100% viable symptoms of a heart attack.  If the fear is a stroke, symptoms that would convince anyone he or she is having a stroke will be felt by the sufferer.

It is most often one of these two major, physical life threatening developments a panic sufferer fears and so he or she feels their symptoms.  The reason for this is the panic attack sufferer is so overwrought, he or she cannot possibly realize it was adrenaline that brings on these very real feelings.  Still, as horrible as these feelings are, if he or she did not fear them, they would never develop.

However, it is imperative the sufferer of panic attacks has a medical professional clear him or her of any such medicalDoctor Visit problems as heart attack or stroke.  It is very important a doctor tell a panic sufferer it is an anxiety panic disorder causing these feelings of dyer medical concerns but his or her physical health is good.

Having said that, it very common for people with anxiety disorder to have fake feelings of major medical calamities that to them, feel quite authentic.  To the sufferer of anxiety disorder these fake symptoms cause as much pain and are as disconcerting as the real ailment would cause.  You can see where this would be very upsetting to anyone!

The key to overcoming the symptoms of panic attack, along with its mock heart attack and stroke symptoms is to first be cleared of heart problems by the medical community and to secondly, gain an understanding of  how the human nervous system works.

It is adrenaline behind all the wrong doing that occurs when one is in the state of panic or heavy anxiety.  Adrenaline will normally flow in the body of anyone experiencing nervousness; even ordinary everyday nervousness.  Adrenaline causes strange and sometimes very disquieting feelings in a person.  Especially a person who is very much on edge.

These feelings, when the sufferer tries to fight them off or run away from them will come on even stronger.  This is because adrenaline in secreted in response to fight or flight.  So, what happens in a situation like this is adrenaline, which has brought on feelings that were unwanted in the first place, compounds these feelings after the flight or fight response triggers the adrenal glands to secret more.

The end result can be a major panic attack being manufactured from ordinary nervousness.  So, you can see, the key to the panic attack cure is the ability to learn how to not respond to feelings that are brought about by the secretion of adrenaline.

Anxiety Stress

Anxiety, stress, nervousness and to a certain extent apprehension are all a part of the wide spectrum known as generalized anxiety.  Though they are not necessarily types of generalized anxiety disorder they are types of anxieties.

Naturally, the difference between an anxiety disorder and simple anxiety is a matter of degree.  Anxiety, even inStunned
somewhat large dosages does not lead to or is not always a disorder.  It isn’t until the anxiety alters the way one leads his/her life the anxiety rates the title “disorder.”

A common misconception is that anxiety disorder starts with a little nervousness and builds and builds and builds.  While it is possible for generalized anxiety disorder to come in this manor, it is not common.  Usually, anxiety disorder comes by way of a surprise attack.  It is when sufferer does not realize it is adrenaline causing anxiety, his/her fear builds rapidly, thus producing a panic attack.  This is because a first anxiety attack is usually very bewildering and upsetting!

As disconcerting as anxiety and panic are, these conditions can be overcome.  In fact, they are being overcome everyday.
