Anxiety causes are vast and numerous. More so even than the amounts of anxieties that plague our society today. To name a few different types of anxieties, there are:

Social anxiety

Test anxiety

Separation anxiety

Panic anxiety

Performance anxiety

and many subtle types of anxiety that fall into the category of “Anxiety Disorder.”

Anxiety, in itself is very common and though it is wise to control it, anxiety really doesn’t amount to much until it crosses over into the realm we term anxiety disorder. Anxiety disorder is anxiety in doses that tend to control the lives of those who are inflicted by it. In fact, the main difference between ordinary anxiety and anxiety disorder is whether or not it actually controls what the sufferer does.

For instance, does he cancel appointments because of anxiety? Does the sufferer change or cancel travel plans? Does he call in sick often because of his inability to to face the drive to work or his apprehension to talk a client or face the boss? These things may frazzle the nerves of a sufferer of ordinary anxiety, but they will entirely overwhelm the sufferer of anxiety disorder.

Another symptom of anxiety disorder is panic. Mot all, but most sufferers of anxiety disorder also have frequent, or at least occasional panic attacks and this is for a good reason. Anxiety disorder and panic attacks are born of the fight or flight syndrome. In other words, the more one tries to run away from, or fight off anxiety, the deeper and more overwhelming the anxiety will be.

One who has he ability to totally accept his anxiety will never suffer a panic attack because when fear is absent from anxiety, this anxiety will be unable to build into panic. It is when the sufferer tries to escape the weird and horrific feelings anxiety brings on that anxiety receives the fuel it needs to build into strong anxiety disorder and panic. Yes, fear is panic’s fuel, without it panic wanes.

Learning how to control fear while under the duress of anxiety is something that needs to be learned but it is a very learn-able trick as many have been cured from anxiety disorder and panic attacks.

Psychotic anxiety is definitely a condition that requires professional attention. A small blog article would be of little help to anyone who has been diagnosed with this rare illness. In part, this is because medication is required to make headway toward the cure of psychotic anxiety. Also, it takes a professional trained in dealing with it to determine how much progress is being made toward its end cure.

Another complicating factor is whether the anxiety is seen as an acute psychosis or one without an abnormal amount of complications. Obviously, the answer to this question would not be found over the Internet.

However, one place where an article can be helpful in such a matter is to inform those who have yet to be diagnosed, psychotic anxiety is not a widespread condition. More helpful information is the fact that everyone suffering ordinaryanxiety disorder believes he or she has some sort of psychosis, at least in the beginning. This is a normal response to a nervous illness that while not serious can be very, very frightening!

Still, anxiety disorder, with or without panic attack, though scary, is most often a far cry from any type of psychosis. Anxiety panic disorder has become very common in today’s world. Because of pressures that have become built in to the modern lifestyle and due to I believe, the widespread use of recreational drugs such as marijuana, many people’s lives become bogged down with anxiety disorder and panic attack. However, with the right approach and the right counseling this condition can be short lived. Fortunately, this is often the case.

With most cases of anxiety disorder and panic attack disorder it takes a lot of resolve on the sufferer’s part and the right information to get this nervous illness on its way to being neutralized. Though it may take several weeks or maybe even months, anxiety disorder and panic attacks are commonly defeated. These conditions have no psychosis associated with them and are not acute conditions.

Anxiety signs and symptoms are not really apparent to anyone but the most trained people in the Field of anxiety disorders. This means, usually when someone is suffering from anxiety disorder, no one but the sufferer can tell. The signs of a nervous person are very apparent. However, being able to distinguish between a person who is suffering true anxiety and one who is simply nervous is not easily done.

The anxiety sufferer knows it is true anxiety when she cancels appointments and avoids certain person, places and things because of fear her anxiety will cause her to somehow make a fool of herself or in many cases she fears her anxiety will make her feel she will have an attack of some kind that will cause her to need to be “taken away.” Such things are not in the mind of one who is simply nervous.

Most often, when a person is experiencing true anxiety, panic enters into the fray. Sometimes, this panic or panic attack is said to be paranoia. While this term does not exactly describe what panic attack due to anxiety actually is, it is a term often used.

Panic is the result of anxiety that builds and builds and builds. This is normal for those experiencing anxiety but not for folks who are simply nervous. The panic starts to develop when the sufferer becomes afraid of the funny and often very scary feelings anxiety brings on. Many times these scary feelings make the sufferer wonder if he or she is having a heart attack or stroke.

Of course, such feelings should be brought to the attention of a medical professional quickly. However, even after the patient has been cleared of these medical conditions, his or her continued fear of them only brings more anxiety into his or her life and this added fear on top of of the existing anxious condition eventually can lead to panic attacks.

Panic disorder with agoraphobia is a fairly common type of anxiety disorder. Normally, the anxious person starts by developing a relatively mild anxiety disorder. Next, anxiety’s fears work their way into the sufferer’s life far enough that he starts to experience panic attacks.

Panic attacks usually come out of nowhere and are totally unexpected. This is especially true of the first few attacks. After that, their horror brings the sufferer to the point where he is always on the lookout for them. He is always anticipating when the next one will occur and where he will be when it occurs. It is being on the lookout for panic attacks that often creates them. If the sufferer didn’t fear them he woulodn’t be looking out for them. Being fearful welcomes panic.

Naturally, because of his great fear of these panic attacks, he will avoid doing things he believes causes their coming and he avoids places he feels will bring them on. Of course, there is no sense in doing these things but a panic attack sufferer is so intent upon avoiding panic attacks, he will do anything to stave them off; even if the things he is doing to try to stave them off are illogical or even unadvised.

Agoraphobia is an anxiety driven illness where the sufferer avoids going to certain places because he fears this place will bring on a panic attack. When let to go on indefinitely, the agoraphobia sufferer will never leave his home because eventually he will fear visiting anywhere because of the possibility all places outside his home will bring on a panic attack.

This is a common progression for agoraphobia. In technical terms, agoraphobia means “fear of the marketplace.” However, agoraphobia describes a condition where a person tries to beat panic by avoiding certain places.

To unwind the progression that leads to agoraphobia, the patient must learn it is trying to avoid panic that is making his life so unbearable. So, it follows the key to the curing the panic attacks is to take a few panic attacks right on the chin, so to speak. In fact, the sufferer should let the panic come to him without trying to dodge it.

After that, he can actually go to places he feels will bring on a panic attack. By doing this he will be chasing after panic and as he does, he will actually be chasing panic away!

Panic attack anxiety symptoms usually include symptoms of whatever it is the sufferer fears most! If his or her fear is a heart attack, he/she will feel 100% viable symptoms of a heart attack. If the fear is a stroke, symptoms that would convince anyone he or she is having a stroke will be felt by the sufferer.

It is most often one of these two major, physical life threatening developments a panic sufferer fears and so he or she feels their symptoms. The reason for this is the panic attack sufferer is so overwrought, he or she cannot possibly realize it was adrenaline that brings on these very real feelings. Still, as horrible as these feelings are, if he or she did not fear them, they would never develop.

However, it is imperative the sufferer of panic attacks has a medical professional clear him or her of any such medical problems as heart attack or stroke. It is very important a doctor tell a panic sufferer it is an anxiety panic disorder causing these feelings of dyer medical concerns but his or her physical health is good.

Having said that, it very common for people with anxiety disorder to have fake feelings of major medical calamities that to them, feel quite authentic. To the sufferer of anxiety disorder these fake symptoms cause as much pain and are as disconcerting as the real ailment would cause. You can see where this would be very upsetting to anyone!

The key to overcoming the symptoms of panic attack, along with its mock heart attack and stroke symptoms is to first be cleared of heart problems by the medical community and to secondly, gain an understanding of how the human nervous system works.

It is adrenaline behind all the wrong doing that occurs when one is in the state of panic or heavy anxiety. Adrenaline will normally flow in the body of anyone experiencing nervousness; even ordinary everyday nervousness. Adrenaline causes strange and sometimes very disquieting feelings in a person. Especially a person who is very much on edge.

These feelings, when the sufferer tries to fight them off or run away from them will come on even stronger. This is because adrenaline in secreted in response to fight or flight. So, what happens in a situation like this is adrenaline, which has brought on feelings that were unwanted in the first place, compounds these feelings after the flight or fight response triggers the adrenal glands to secret more.

The end result can be a major panic attack being manufactured from ordinary nervousness. So, you can see, the key to the panic attack cure is the ability to learn how to not respond to feelings that are brought about by the secretion of adrenaline.

Anxiety, stress, nervousness and to a certain extent apprehension are all a part of the wide spectrum known as generalized anxiety. Though they are not necessarily types of generalized anxiety disorder they are types of anxieties.

Naturally, the difference between an anxiety disorder and simple anxiety is a matter of degree. Anxiety, even in
somewhat large dosages does not lead to or is not always a disorder. It isn’t until the anxiety alters the way one leads his/her life the anxiety rates the title “disorder.”

A common misconception is that anxiety disorder starts with a little nervousness and builds and builds and builds. While it is possible for generalized anxiety disorder to come in this manor, it is not common. Usually, anxiety disorder comes by way of a surprise attack. It is when sufferer does not realize it is adrenaline causing anxiety, his/her fear builds rapidly, thus producing a panic attack. This is because a first anxiety attack is usually very bewildering and upsetting!

As disconcerting as anxiety and panic are, these conditions can be overcome. In fact, they are being overcome everyday.

Agoraphobia treatments include a wide range of possible medication usage coupled with either behavioral therapy or congenitive therapy. Of all these choices behavioral therapy is the one I’ve actually seen work wonders and so it is the one I generally use to help others trying to overcome agoraphobia.

Helping Agoraphobia Patient

This is not to say I believe medication to be of no use. In fact, I believe the opposite. However, the kinds of medications being used change frequently and not being a doctor, I am loath to prescribe any. Also true about medication it that it is used to make the nervous illness manageable while the patient is recovering. The medications in themselves are not agoraphobia cures. This much the same as a patient being prescribed pain killers while recovering from a broken leg.

Behavioral therapy holds the real cure for agoraphobia because, while agoraphobia patients are generally panicked when they are outside their homes, this therapy gives them a pleasant experience outside their homes. With behavioral therapy a patient is accompanied while leaving the house, sometimes at a rate of one step further each day. The turn around happens when the patient becomes impatient with this slow rate of progress and forces the issue.

When this happens, the therapist tries to keep the patient from progressing further. At this time, a role reversal of sorts takes place and the cure is near as the patient is emboldened to leave home for longer periods of time. When this takes place he/she generally becomes interested in visiting more places as well.

Medication could not achieve a thought process change of this kind.. There simply is no pill which encourages the patient to change his or her thought process or physical activity desires. Congenital therapy is very helpful in anxiety disorders such as depression because this therapy helps the patient react positively to thoughts he or she used to react negatively to.

However, agoraphobia is an illness which actually involves physically doing things. So, behavioral therapy holds the most promise for anyone who has a want to be cured of it.

The term anxiety illness usually refers to anxiety disorder. A disorder changes the way a person lives his or her life. Anxiety disoder does this because anxiety, or panic attacks can be unbearable. They render the sufferer incapable of dealing with anything other than the attack while they are present.

Sometimes anxiety illness can lead to reclusiveness or agoraphobia.

A chemical in the brain, serotonin is said to be responsible for OCD. Serotonin, when flowing properly in the brain, stifles a person’s overreacting to controllable situations. Those suffering OCD do not have normal serotonin flow and so, they tend to react strongly to what would normally considered average impulses.

Basically, all types of nervous diseases are off springs of basic generalized anxiety disorder (GAD). Treatments, of course are based on the anxiety complicating factor, if any and whether or not panic attacks are occuring on a regular basis.

Often a doctor will administer medication as part of a recovery plan. There are also self-help programs available.

Coping with anxiety can be most daunting. When suffering from anxiety is important to remember you are not the only one. Millions of people are going through or have been through what you are now going through now. Anxiety is
bewildering enough without feeling you are alone or that nobody else could ever understand your current state of mind. Always know this just isn’t true.

Anxiety is an adrenaline fed illness. If there were not an inordinate amount of adrenaline flowing through your system, there would not be nervousness and so anxiety would wither on the vine.

To start the ball rolling toward recovery from anxiety, refuse to run from the horrible feelings it brings on. Realize that like any other illness it will run its course and then go away if it is let to. Fighting or running away from anxiety will manufacture adrenaline and thereby it will interfere with the healing process.

While totally accepting the sensations anxiety and panic are causing you to feel, picture a relaxing scene in your mind. Don’t fight away the panic, just think about this relaxing scene whenever you are able to. Perhaps the relaxing scene is somewhere you’ve been in your life or maybe just one you’ve seen in a movie or on TV. Maybe it is just a picture in your mind of you sitting comfortably and relaxed. Any one of these are fine.

Actually curing the panic or anxiety disorder involves going through panic attacks and discovering that worst has already happened to you when were anticipating panic’s arrival. The picturing of the calming scene and the acceptance of the attack are what makes panic attacks less intrusive.

Another key is to be comfortable with the timetable of recovery anxiety and panic attack symdrome have set. To try to hurry your recovery because this is the same as fighting or running way, and it is fighting panic and running away from it that makes it come on powerfully in the first place. Accepting and becoming somewhat comfortable with panic cuts its supply of strength off and allows recovery to take place.

Panic anxiety disorders almost always start with an unexpected panic or panic-like attack. In today’s world this first panic attack often occurs under the influence of a recreational drug such as marijuana. Once the first attack has
happened, the panic victim starts to unknowingly sow the seeds of more panic simply by being on high alert for the signs of another panic attack.

Prescription medications are often taken to lessen the horror of panic attack. However, to my knowledge there is no medication that will put an end to panic anxiety disorder. Drugs can only dampen the blow a panic attack delivers.

There are things in life other than marijuana that bring people to the overwrought state where they will be supsepticle to their first panic attack. Amongst these things are; the death of a loved one, divorce, loss of a job or some sort of financial disaster to name a few. However, using marijuana is inviting anxiety disorder.

When trying to determine what causes anxiety, remember some anxiety is a necessary part of life. Anyone who lives totally without anxiety would probably be having problems of another kind. Anxiety is a normal response to different things we do and if there was no anxiety we would be part of a dream world.

You can find out a lot about your anxiety by making statements such as:

I have anxiety because have children

I have anxiety because I drive during rush hour

I have anxiety because I work for a jerk

I have anxiety because my husband drinks and is volatile

I have anxiety because I am overwrought

I have anxiety because I am going through a divorce

Composing such statements will help you find your underlying anxiety cause. However, when we try to overcome anxiety by fighting , we can build our normal response anxiety into a disorder or even a panic attack. Always approach the problem causing the underlying anxiety and not the anxiety itself. Understand that while this problem is a part of your life, the anxiety will trick you into thinking there is something else wrong with you. Don’t respond to these thoughts, they can elevate the anxiety into an anxiety disorder.

Sometimes an anxiety disorder can build without an apparent underlying cause. This often stems from recreational drug use. In such cases the underlying cause is bewilderment because you feel you would have nothing to be nervous about. Just let this type of anxiety disorder run its course. Don’t read anymore into it than just a nervous illness and if you do not cower from it it will go away in time.

Looking for a way to stop panic attacks now can be a frustrating chore. There is a very good method one could try to stop a panic attack very quickly, but of course it comes with no guarantees and probably it would not be as effective in overcoming panic disorder for someone has experienced it for many years. However, here is how to stop panic attacks now:

The answer in a word is… surender.

Panic grows from ordinary nervousness because some of the symptoms nerves cause us to experience are very frightening. Because of this we compound our nervousness and bring on even more frightening sensations as we try to escape these sensations. Doing this creates a cycle of nervousness-frightening sensation-more nervousness-more
frightening sensations and on and on and on.

Once we give up the struggle we break this cycle. I have actually become free of panic attacks and this is how I did it. I made up my mind I would let panic do to me the worst it could. I even tried to intensify the panic, I could not. In a short time, it left and because I refused to ever run from it or fight it off again, it never bothered me any more.

I realize this doesn’t sound complicated or magical enough to be effective, but it works for me still today. So, give up. It works wonders!

Nervous illnesses are the family of illnesses we know as anxiety disorder, panic attack disorder, agoraphobia and combinations of these illnesses.

With anxiety disorder, an otherwise perfectly normal individual suffers from nervousness to the point he/she can no longer conduct his/her life in exactly the way he/she would like to.

Panic attacks are often the next step after an anxiety disorder takes hold of a person’s life. Panic attacks come in spells and totally decapitate the sufferer to the point all he/she can do is strive to get through the horrible spell.

Once a panic attack occurs in a public place, the nervously ill person may associate the place of the attack with the panic spell. So, the sufferer will not return to that place.

Once he/she experiences panic in several places, often this person will become afraid to leave the home altogether. This fear of leaving home or technically speaking, fear of the market place, is agoraphobia.

There is a large price range of these anxiety self help products. They vary from paperback books to expensive DVD courses. Of course its price, or what the product is made of, is unimportant compared to whether or not it will indeed, stop panic attacks.

Help with anxiety starts when the anxiety sufferer learns he/she is far from alone. An old adage tells us “misery loves company.” Though this may sound trite, as a former sufferer of anxiety panic disorder I would have to say this saying is very meaningful.

In my darkest days of dealing with panic attacks, the thing that made me most bewildered was my belief I was the only person on the face of the earth who was experiencing these strange sensation brought on by anxiety. I felt a sense of relief the first day I learned there were 100’s of thousands of people going through the very same thing I was.

I don’t wish any ill on any one and wish no one would ever have a panic attack. Still, the point is, as terrible as panic may be, realizing you are not alone will be of some help in overcoming your anxious condition. It is startling, yet somewhat comforting to know that in every large gathering of people, many of them often encounter the same types of bouts of panic you do.
