Mood anxiety disorder or mood disorder are terms used to describe a wide variety of conditions. Many times people use these terms to incorrectly describe people who are somewhat moody. Normally moody people may be so for
everyday reasons of a physical nature such as lack of sleep or over stimulation by caffeine.
Two common mood anxiety disorders are depression and bipolar disorder. In a sense these two disorders are similar. Depression takes a person from a normal condition to one where he/she feels hopeless. A bipolar person swings between two extreme states of mind.
One minute a bipolar person may be affable and charming and the next spiteful and angry. Another bipolar person may be very happy one minute and very sad the next. The bipolar type of mood anxiety disorder is also known as maniac depressive.
