Medication is normally prescribed as a treatment for all ranges and types of nervous illnesses.  However, to my knowledge the is no one medication that actually cures anxiety, panic or even ordinary nervousness.  Instead, medication is designed to allow the nervously ill patient to function normally while the illness is still operating in the background .

Truly overcoming anxiety and other nervous disorders will begin when the underlying life cause of the ailment is removed.  The nervous illness will start to vanish as the nervous sufferer practices total acceptance of the symptoms the nervous illness causes.
